Hey, I’m Elaine.

I like to call myself a web developer, writer, and yogi. I’m also a mom of two and wife to the best man in the world.

I like to code (websites and apps), write, and do some good ol’ yoga… among other things.

The Philosophy

I’ve been simplifying my stuff recently. And I decided… I just want to grow a digital garden. :)

One where I plant things and they… GROW.

From seedling to tree.

From watering to flourishing.

And I thought… how can I make my own website a reflection of that?

(And save money in the process. Heheh.)

I thought to migrate all my WordPress sites to static site rendered sites. Meaning, I used Astro and Antigravity to help me build it faster. And then host it on Cloudflare. It’s cost-effective (meaning, I literally spent zero on hosting except for Antigravity) and… simple.

And then while I was redesigning the web page layouts, I thought, why not make it look like the simplest site in the world? So I did. One column. Markdown files for each page. Headless CMS with Decap. Great!

I believe in the pholosopy that if you want to help others, you must help yourself first. Solve your own problems first. It’s not selfish. It’s service.

How I Write Now

So I thought about how I can help myself and solve my own problem of writing my own web page copy because all the sites on the Internet these days seem to be written with AI.

I started writing down my own thoughts and asked myself, What do I want people to know?

Kindness is key?

Business can be simple?

Creativity is easy?

It all felt… gimmicky, for lack of a better word.

And I thought: I still want to help solopreneurs build simple systems. Because that’s what I need too.

So here it is: Build simple systems.

And then the subheading for that? Something along the lines of:

Solopreneurs are bombarded with AI slop nowadays. It’s hard to get anything done when ideas abound everwhere and it’s so much easier to ask AI for what copy to put on your site. So this is the digital garden where simple creation is the beginning—like one seed being planted in a garden—weeding out all the noise first and then… just… plant.

And plant.

And plant.

Until your garden finds its own way.

I love it because writing helps me think. Not the AI-assisted kind of thinking. Just looking internally and resurfacing the things I have always desired to see out there.

Yes, it gets to be that simple.
